Can I offer you some lemon water?

Why should you drink lemon water?

It’s an excellent idea to consider adding lemon water to your daily self-care routine. Lemons contain vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and fiber.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into an 8 oz. glass or cup of water (lukewarm is recommended). Drink it first thing in the morning, and wait 15 to 30 minutes to have breakfast. This will ensure that you receive its full benefit. Here are three:

1. Detoxes your system

The lemon drink helps to flush out the toxins in your body by enhancing enzyme function. This, in turn, stimulates your liver.

2. Reduces inflammation.

If you drink lemon water on a regular basis, it will remove uric acid, a main cause of inflammation; decreasing the body’s acidity, which is linked to the initiation of disease.

3. Aids digestion.

Lemon juice encourages healthy digestion by loosening toxins in your digestive tract. It also helps to relieve heartburn, burping and bloating. As a bonus, it will also help to balance your body’s ph level.
