Berries combat oxidative stress

Berries

Berries, which are known to pack vitamins A (Beta-Carotene), B complex, C, and E, also reduce inflammation (linked to the cause of all disease) and boost the immune system. Hailed for their antioxidant qualities, these vitamins provide a good line of defense against the effects of oxidative stress. Chronic diseases including certain cancers, diabetes, and heart disease can stem from oxidative stress.

Here is a helpful Berry tip sheet provided by Berkley Wellness.

What is Oxidative Stress?

Oxidative stress is essentially an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract or detoxify their harmful effects through neutralization by antioxidants. ~ Ananya Mandal, MD
