    Obesity: No longer solely an adult issue

    The health risks of being overweight and obese are alarming. The heavier we are, the higher our chance for developing diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and cancers such as colon, kidney and breast. Today, the increased incidence of obesity and its manifestations include our children and adolescents; not just adults. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2.8 million people die each year due to repercussions of being overweight or obese.
